Behind the Grand Piano
The rare and unique Full-Sized Baldwin Grand Piano that formerly resided in Greensboro Coliseum’s War Memorial Auditorium, rarely played - was rescued by Eric Robert and now lives in a very happy and musical environment at the swanky, French Continental Club.
Eric Robert always has the piano tuned and repaired - days before our Bolling show performances.
Eric grew up listening to Claude Bolling with his father in France, where Claude Bolling is an absolute legend.
This show is NOT Claude Bolling.
But THIS Show is JUST as special - maybe MORE!
Partnering with her musical buddy of 20 years, guitarist Roc Williams, this duo has created a show that features Roc’s funky and soaring virtuoso guitar skills, as well as Stef’s groovy and soulful piano and keyboard skills.
This show is FULL of tunes that they both LOVE to play or always WANTED to perform with just the right people.
WOW! We have recruited JUST THE RIGHT PEOPLE!
That is an understatement!
Joining Stef on keys, and Roc on guitar is Dexter Whitaker on Bass. Second only to Victor Wooten, there isn’t a bass player who could compete with this man - from Fayetteville, NC - performing with national headliners and corporate bands 24/7 - we are so LUCKY to have him join us. You won’t believe your ears OR your eyes. He is the MOST entertaining Bass Player I have ever witnessed!
And FRESH out from a busy touring schedule with Roc and THE DRIFTERS, Lead Singer BRIAN MCINTOSH will be OUR Lead Singer and MC for the night.
And supplementing the personnel are FOUR strong theatre singers who are providing background vocals for Brian.
And before you ask - YES - we are performing a song by THE DRIFTERS - something you won’t get to experience in Greensboro unless you come to our show - where the Lead Singer and Music Director are both performing with Stef and Steve.
STEVE? YUP! The man Steve McHugh. Our Bolling drummer and my favorite drummer!
Channeling some of the best drummers in American music - and his drumming heroes - Steve McHugh will be holding all of us together.
WE ARE STARTING TO GET REALLY BUSY!
No Tickets! Just a TIP JAR! We are performing outside!!
Come have a GREAT MEAL - and enjoy Brian, Gavin, Virginia, Steve and STEF! All of us performing the fabulous and thoroughly entertaining Jazz Suites and Trad Jazz music of Claude Bolling.
We’re playing nearly everything we’ve ever performed - at the new live music (6 days a week) restaurant we all know as……….. LUCKY 32!!
Just STEF - a Piano - and a Microphone.
What could possibly go wrong??
6 of the Triad’s busiest and most talented Musical Theatre performers are singing music from Broadway and Off-Broadway Theatre across more than a Century of history and America’s relationship with diversity and technology.
With Stef and her incredible MO-8 keyboard - you won’t know you aren’t in a Times Square cabaret room.
There’s a rumor about a cameo performer joining us…..
OUR HORNS ARE BACK!
Performing our favorites from our 2025 Holiday Horn Show!
This time - we’re gaining a TROMBONE!
We might be too loud for South Elm Street! I hope so!
And also new - we are performing a few original holiday songs. Written by Gavin Douglas - who is a lovely poetic songwriter, and Stef who is not as poetic as Gavin - but loves to create songs with a theatrical fervor. We may get some new songs from any of our amazing musicians! The Holiday Show is the PERFECT time to offer some creative songwriting!
And STEF IS BRINGING COOKIES as well as SAVORY TREATS for EVERYONE!
COME PARTY WITH US AT THE CONTINENTAL CLUB - our HOME!
